Holiday Snaps
Hello, I’m back, and am trying to stave off the onset of work mode by looking at all our holiday snaps: We had a fantastic week away in Limpopo Province, staying just outside Tzaneen, overlooking hills and valleys covered with macadamia nut and avocado trees. Our home for the week was full of interesting things.

Apart from it being beautiful (and free), we were very fortunate to stay there, because just a short walk across the valley, we had access to the famous Kings Walden gardens, currently closed to the public.

So we spent our time exploring the garden, going on long walks in the forest, taking naps, cooking well, and laughing a whole lot. We also got out and drove around a bit, seeing the sights, like this enormous baobab tree.

We didn’t see any of these animals…

But we did see lots and lots of monkeys, and also spotted some mongooses and warthogs, as well as lots amazing birds, like Rollers, Hornbills, and a Giant Kingfisher too.

As usual, I took lots of photos of plants and leaves, and have put some of those up at my Flickr page.

Now it’s back to real life, so my shop must be opened, fabric must be printed, things must be cut and deadlines must be met. But first, I think, a cup of coffee…
